I needed a stereo unit to replace my old one in my 2002 Accord because the CD player had broke. Installation is as expected, you obviously need to know what you're doing.

My only complaint is that the unit has an anti-theft reminder function. The unit will play a series of three beeps about three different times through the cars speakers after the car is turned off. While this is useful for some people, there does not seem to be any option to disable this feature. Even though this is well-intentioned, it is pretty annoying. What I do now is just press the release button anytime I turn off the car, but leave the face plate alone. The plate will then stay in place but be disconnected (and I'm confident it won't fall off and break).

This was definitely a good upgrade for my 2000 mustang. My tape adapter wasn't cutting it and I am always listening to my ipod in the car. This radio is perfect. I get a nice clear sound through the auxiliary input and after adjusting the tones and bass, it sounds great! You can adjust the input volume on the stereo so you do not have to turn the volume up real high, so when you switch back to the radio, it's not blasting in your face. I also noticed a clearer sound to the radio stations.
The ease of installing depends on your car really. I would suggest taking the stock radio out and taking a look at the wires before you purchase the wire harness needed. I ended up having to buy another harness when I pulled out the radio and discovered I have the ford premium sound system.
Only thing that bothers me is that it is a little lose on the right side of the stereo but not so much that it moves around when I am driving. There are these little cutouts on the locking-case that you can push down to fit it in better but it still moves a little bit for me on the right side. Depending on your car you may have a different result.
Overall it is a great stereo, especially if you want to use your ipod or just want better sound out of your speakers.

Following instructions included to set up display, you can pretty much get what you desire, mine is set to display the clock now without the factory "demo" display. EQ displays too with station displayed. EQ settings can be customized besides having the described default settings and saved on a custom setting. On the Xplod factory EQ setting, this unit will blast you out with bass thump if you have a decent amped sub without adding +db. Max the +db out and your rattling screws loose and awaking the natives to a restless state from miles away. Yep, you read right, EQ settings are infinately adjustable to taste. The display is plenty bright for daytime viewing and dimable for night time. The FM gain pulls in the weakest channels with ease. The clarity of the sound is without any noticable distortion of any kind. The CD is skip free on wash board dirt roads and clear as a bell. The unit is backward compatible with the older XPlod series units, this one plugged right into the harness of the '94 unit that finally bit the dust in my '93 Civic. How simple is that? You can get a pre-wired factory harness extra to simplify installation for a true plug and play install to your factory wiring. You couldn't get a better bang for your buck if you wanted to. Not to mention being digital ready??? For less than a C note???
Get it. You'll love it.

If you have quality glass, like the Canon L series, then you need quality filters. the B+W are made from ground optical glass, not a piece of plain glass like as you see in the tiffen and hoyas filters (even the expensive ones are still cheap grade glass). Only B+W and Heliopan put the time and $$ into making filters that are designed to be used with your quality lenses and not distort and reduce the optical quality of them. I have 2 MRC, 1 Kaesemann, and 1 slim one, and I love them, HOWEVER the slim one you cant put a normal lens cap on it, and that is a major pain!! I have a Heliopan as well, and I prefer the B+W a little bit more as its a brass ring and not aluminum and thus does not bind up as easy, and thats important when you want to change filters quickly! But the Heliopan slim model you can still put a normal Canon lens cap on it, as I have done it many times on my 17-40mm F4 L series lens before I got the B+W. If you use a cheap filter on a pro grade lens, you are wasting your money, on the lens and the filter as the filter just hurt your image quality, and thus you lowered the quality of your lens! In filters, like lenses, you get what you pay for!!!

I shoot in all kinda of weather conditions, from sunny and warm, to windy and cold or snowy, and I have never had any major issues with any of my B+W filters acting up! I prefer the MRC or even the Kaesemann over the entry level one, but even their entry level one is ground glass, so you still get a great quality filter at that price point.

The first one I purchased worked like a charm, even though the custom B+W lens cap would fall off while stored inside my camera bag (FYI a normal lens cap will not fit over this filter) thus the filter apparantly received a few scratches from scraping other equipment inside my bag. Now, after shelling out an extra hundred bucks to replace the first one (which was almost brand new) its identical replacement has a colder blue cast in the glass... They don't even match!!!

So, besides the useless lenscap which never stays on, I seriously question the scratch resistance of the glass and B+W's quality control, hence the two different colored filters I have sitting right in front of me. I know B+W is supposed to have a great reputation, but my own opinion has been swayed. I just hope I don't have any problems with the return of this item.

I purchased a different model lorex 150 foot night vision camera and was amazed at the quality. That camera has beat 60mph winds, snow, and rain without a problem while still producing a clear picture since day one. For that reason I purchased the model LOREX CVC6985U and had nothing but good thoughts on my way outside to install this thing.

Thinking ahead I decided to test the camera out before climbing +15 feet in the air and mounting it. That's when the feel good story came to an end. This camera while producing a very nice picture does not recognize black and grey clothing, so it displays those colors as green. I could not believe it so I changed to another black shirt and it once again showed green. I then panned to a black garbage container and it was black, then I panned to a black grill set and it was black. However, I panned back to my black shirt and it showed green. I then went inside and randomly recorded black images around the house all of which looked fine, however, the conclusion was that once my black clothing was recorded they were green which puzzles me. I then unplugged the cable off a surveillance monitor and ran the cable to a hd tv and same deal. Green Green Green shirts and pants. I can only imagine someone installing this camera and not testing it out and end up giving the police the description of a burglar with a green shirt,green hat, and green pants. Maybe I just have a defective model. If that is the case, This review will change to reflect that once a replacement unit is had. Until then ***TEST*** this camera before you climb up the ladder.


**Update**
Replacement unit was received and the same problem mentioned above occurs. It was told to me that this model Lorex CVC6985U, was not produced with what's called an IR-Cut off filter mechanism. That means the colors will not be accurate and true to life. I wish they would state that on the box as I have and have seen plenty of other Lorex cameras and none of them have this issue. This camera is marketed as Day/night just like the rest and on the box it shows a garden, people in a store, and other outside activities. Nothing however, expresses the fact that black, grey, and other dark colors will display as loud green because the company decided to not include a filter on the lens' of the camera. I have $20 cameras that have this filter. If your a professional and know how to install this filter on the lens(You might void the warranty) this might be a good camera. However, if your one of the many D-I-Y'ers keep looking and if your buying a Lorex make sure the camera has a filter installed stock from the factory.

I've found this camera to be perfect for my outside application. The kit cameras that came with my Lorex system were 50 degree field of view. This one is 79 degrees. Really covers all the area I wanted to cover. Haven't noticed the color variations mentioned in the other reviews yet. So far, great camera.

Charlotte Hardwick's use of the military metaphor throughout (including a photo of a child in a Marine Corps dress uniform on the cover) is in recognition of two salient facts about custody disputes: they can be psychologically as brutal as war; and the stakes can be extremely high. Yet, as Hardwick details and documents, negotiations are possible, and if the welfare of the child has the highest priority, both sides can win.

I would advise you, however, NOT to go into court without having first read this remarkable book. Over the course of 672 doubled-columned pages, Hardwick shares her personal experience and her painfully accumulated knowledge on just about every conceivable aspect of the child custody wars while guiding the reader toward a powerful strategy. If you don't have this book you are likely to be overmatched; indeed if your attorney doesn't have this book, he or she is likely to be overmatched. In fact, I would say that the first thing you should do after reading the book yourself, is buy a copy for your attorney and somehow persuade him or her to open the pages and to start reading--anywhere in the book. I promise you your attorney will learn facts, ideas, strategies new to him or her. The expanse and depth of the material presented here quite frankly amazed me. This extensive tome constitutes an entire course not only in child custody disputes but in human psychology, parenting, and the law itself. Some items:

There are 91 pages citing, summarizing, quoting from, and referencing relevant cases and decisions (Chapter 23).

There is a detailed guide on how to negotiate and what conflict resolution is all about (Chapter 4); a chapter on how to handle discovery and depositions (Chapter 17); another on judges, what to expect from them and how you might get a good one or avoid a bad one; there's guidance on what to expect in court and how to present yourself and your case; how to select an attorney; what your case is likely to cost and how to discover the assets of your adversaries, including (this floored me) hidden assets such as "Overpayments to the IRS" (from a list on page 435). You will learn about how much you can expect to pay or receive in child support, and again how to gauge assets, including hidden income such as "excessive deductions on paychecks" (p. 445)--a nice dodge which amounts to loaning Uncle Sam the money until tax time!

You will also:

--Discover how to handle psychologists and other "evaluators" and influence them to your advantage. For example beware of the "halo effect." (Have your side evaluated by the psychologist first to secure that effect.) (p. 235)

--Understand what psychological tests can be given and what they can mean in the dispute. Sometimes the judge makes the court-ordered decision of a professional binding, so that "you have in fact a new judge." (Chapter 12)

--Appreciate the role of other experts, what they can and cannot do to further your case, and how to evaluate and get a reliable expert who will make an effective witness.

--Learn the value of keeping a detailed log of everything pertaining to your case and its possible use as documentation. Hardwick presents this with some tips on how e-mail and computer files can come back to haunt you if you share the wrong information, even anonymously or through the assumption of an Internet moniker.

--Become knowledgeable about lie detectors and their use and misuse (pp. 137-138) and the reach of DNA testing.

--Know which problems or accusations are issues and which are non-issues in the eyes of the law. For example, child endangerment is an issue; a "blended" family is not. Physical abuse is an issue; false accusations may or may not be. (pp. 26-29)

--Be introduced to the infamous Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) in which one parent tries to alienate the child from the other parent through lies and distortions. (p. 190) PAS includes "The Grand Lie" in which one side falsely accuses the other of child sexual abuse, a charge that is hard to become completely free of, regardless of the truth of the accusation. (p. 282)

Hardwick even includes some humor with eleven ways on how to know "You've Been in Court Too Long" on page 97 (from Dean Hughson). If this isn't enough there is a presentation of ingrained psychological strategies that you might use or encounter such as the famous "Tit for Tat" from game theory or the sneaky "Tranquilizer" who lulls you to inattention and then takes advantage. (p. 59)

There is a Glossary of Terms and a detailed Index as well as a lot information on resources throughout including Internet sites on page 103. There's even a chapter on lies and how to correct them (should you be the liar!).

The mass of information and the sharp, sound guidance contained herein really amount to a post graduate course in child custody disputes. Even so I was almost as much impressed with Hardwick's assertive, no-nonsense writing style and organization that managed to painlessly inform while emphasizing a positive approach. Her philosophy is perhaps best expressed in this quote from page 472:

"In truth, if custody is solely decided on what is best for the children, there can be no loser."

Win Your Child Custody War: Child Custody Help Source Book Review by Claire Sutherland (Greenville, NC)

I bought Win Your Child Custody Battle. In the first chapter the reader cannot help but shift their thinking to "what is best for my children?" This book does a masterful job of steering a divorcing parent through the custody war, and showing that parent how to WIN! While making sure their children WIN! too.

What makes this book better than the others is:
1. It teaches you how to win so that your children ultimately have what they need
2. It teaches you how to win so that the other parent is not killed in the war, you learn how to use anger constructively!
3. It does not favor either parent, like books just for Moms or Dads
4. Both parents could use the information in the same custody battle and do the best job for their children!
It is the best, most complete book on the subject I've ever seen.

Win Your Child Custody War: Child Custody Help Source Book Review by Mike Rogers "Mike R." (Seattle, WA USA)

The "Win Your Child Custody War" book is the best, most comprehensive book on the market. I'm a reviewer for SPARC, a divorce and custody web site (www.deltabravo.net) and we recommend the "Win Your Child Custody War" book before all the others. There's no secret to why we recommend this book so strongly- it's just the best guide to custody issues available anywhere at any price.

The breadth and depth of the information is astounding, well-written, and logically arranged. This book is worth 10 times the cover price, and I don't say that lightly.

There is nothing like the "Win Your Child Custody War" book; nothing even comes close. This is, in our opinion, *<b>the</b>* book to have. You'd have to buy about 20 other books just to start to equal the information contained in this one.

(And just in case you're wondering, we have no connection to Pale Horse Publishing, we just think their books stand head-and-shoulders above the rest.)

These Nixon Trooper Headphones are great to use, especially if you're lazy to go to your mp3 and press buttons, that what the volume control is for :D probably the greatest part to the headphones. I owned this pair of headphones that sound lasted me a good 2-3 years, BUT HOWEVER, it's not great but okay. The construction was made entirely plastic beside the ear silicon thing, less than 3 months have the plastic broke on me, so during the past years i have to hold one part of the headphones by bringing my hands to my head every time because I didn't want to buy one. It's great to listen but not very durable I'll tell you that right now, PLUS I got this FREE by lockerz, was a great website to get free things, now trash, anyway I go somewhere else to buy if your looking for both sounds and durable go look somewhere else, if you want the volume control or u feel like you go the money to experiment go for it.

I ordered this kvm switch to toggle back and forth between my old Mac and my new PC. It has done a good job. I have been able to clear away a lot of cables and extra hardware. I didn't run into any problems getting it set up and working with both computers. I am using a Dell PS2 keyboard and mouse. It is suppose to work with a USB keyboard and mouse too but I haven't tried that. Switching between computers is as easy as pushing a button. It has never had any problem finding either computer quickly.

I had hoped that I would be able to use one of the USB ports to share my printer but that doesn't seem to work. I am not sure why. It might just be the tecno-turnip that is setting it up. There was nothing said about it being able to share a printer though.

All in all it has accomplished what I wanted it to do. Good product. Easy to use.

This switch was so much cheaper and more attractive than the other models that I decided to try it. It works flawlessly for the laptop, but it keeps dropping the video signal for the home computer.

It could be Vista, or the fact that we're running two monitors on the home computer, but either way it keeps resetting the nvidia control panel to defaults that don't work. The mouse and keyboard controls work but the video signal quit switching.

Also the USB ports don't recognize some items (specifically the webcam).
